My website and other services I host have been down for the past few weeks. I’ve finally gotten around to throwing this website onto Cloudflare Pages, so at least the main attraction is functional. However, as of writing, subdomains (such as the Matrix server, Boombox, and the Maloja instance) are currently offline, with a (hopefully) temporary placeholder page in their place. Hopefully I’ll be able to recover the data (to be clear, this isn’t because of a hack or anything, just what I presume is a hardware failure) and get it all back online within a few weeks.
”How have you been faring without Boombox or Maloja for music?” Well, fictional reader #9, I’ve managed. I’ve been keeping track of scrobbles in a three page text document to later import by hand into Maloja. I’ve been thinking of starting up another Maloja instance and then merging them together at a later date, but that requires more effort than I’m willing to put in as of right now.
…you know, I might as well use this as an opportunity to shill songs I really like.
Cha Cha Cha
I absolutely love this song, so I’ll start out with it. I had originally heard this song in a SiIvaGunner rip of C-Show’s Stratoliner. I didn’t know the original song, but I really liked it. As I was listening to it two days ago, I decided to listen to the original song (Cha Cha Cha), and was very shocked at how good it was. As someone who doesn’t keep track of or know much about Eurovision (this may change now that I’ve realized that it’s not just pop), I had expected it to be uninteresting, but I was very wrong. No wonder I’ve heard it referred to as the fan favorite. Please, give it a listen!
I’ve amassed a total of 73 listens (and counting) to it across four songs:
- Cha Cha Cha
- Cha Cha Cha (Lords of the Lost Remix)
- Cha Cha Cha (Camellia Remix)
- Stratoliner (Or rather, a SiIva rip of the song)
Small fun fact (totally not because I need to fix my CSS and currently need to put a paragraph between a list and a header): Lords of the Lost competed for Germany in Eurovision. They unfortunately got last place, which I really disagree with.
Shop Fusion Collab
The SiIvaGunner team released a fusion collab featuring shops and shopkeepers from various video games. It’s roughly 14 minutes and is full of very high effort graphics. I’ve scrobbled it 27 times, which is around six and a half hours worth of listening to it. Surely that start alone will convince you to listen to it.
MESS
A song by Camellia and Hakoz Baelz (who did the vocals). Really catchy! If you like Play Dice!, another song by the same duo in the same roles, this song might be up your alley as well.
Tokyo Retro(Deluxe Edition)
This one’s a bit of a vibe shift from the rest of these songs. It’s a really bubbly and nice jazz album. If you’re only going to listen to one song from it, listen to Les Parfums de L’Amour(Full size) (feat. MIYU). It’s the song through which I discovered the album.
